As far as guitar 'modulation' and effects, i wish you luck in your endeavors and hope the best for you sir. I truly do.
In my guitar band days there were no modulating effects!
..when playing lead guitar and running an arpeggio and reaching a few octaves for a high note in a split second while sweating ... if you missed it by one fret, you bent the string to get the desired screaming high note & just hung it there in tremelo until time to go back to the rhythm or run a few more
strings. I was a heavy, and didn't use any effects. Just raw Guitar with a helluva kick ass band.
